Outdoor week in Great Britain 

Carlton Camp & Forest School

Catcote Academy have developed a special program for a Forest school during the last five years. It gives the students the opportunity to gain self-confidence and self-esteem through acting and learning in the nature. Non of the planed activities are done by the other partner schools. Forest schools are a special approach within the theory of Outdoor learning.

For LTTA in Carlton Camp the folowing activities were planned: 

- High ropes
- canoeing
- raft building
- archery
- challenge course
- climbing
- problem solving

The following value is added by this activity:

The School in the UK expanded and widened the Outdoor-concept with their experiences from the ideas and conceptional work, they have already developed for their Forest school. Britain east coast offers a lot of great opportunities to gain outdoor experiences in the nature. Non of the planed activities are done by the other partner schools. The exchanges of this special experiences is a motivation and an impulse to include these outdoor activities into the consisting programs of the partner schools.
